Mikela D. Harris is a wife and mother who has successfully served as a public educator and Christian minister for over twenty years.
Since graduating from the Shabach School of Ministry, Los Angeles in 1996, Mikela has worked as a teacher, preacher, and biblical counselor. In the drama arena, she ministers as an actor, playwright, and fiction writer.
After her husband, Chris suffered a debilitating stroke in 2010, Mikela became his caregiver and learned how to truly walk with God. She holds a BA in Film Production, a MS in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy and a M.Ed. in Principal Leadership. Founder of Writestanding Publications, Mikela now shares her experiences of faith, love, forgiveness and hope through her books.
Mikela now lives in Las Vegas, NV. She is also the author of the novel Her Right to Flight and her self-help/ memoir, I Would Have Fainted: A Caregiving Wife’s Account of Experiencing God’s Goodness in Sickness and in Health.
